Kaleidoscope Eyes

Hey, guys. Today I'll be blogging about Jen Bryant and her amazing book Kaleidoscope Eyes. This book is sure to take you on a huge adventure! You're on an adventure with Lyza, a girl who lives in South New Jersey in 1968. Her mother has left, and she's living with her Father, a professor, and her sister who hangs around with the Hippie Crowd.

 When Lyza's Grandfather passes away, leaving an adventure, three maps, and possibly some buried treasure, Lyza's all in. She needs help, though. She get's her friend's to help, and off they are on their adventure!

I'm sure you'll love this book; I did. I'm going to read it, again, soon. After a while, of course. I normally don't read books based a while ago, but since I'm going to be reading  Angela Sage Larson's newest Fifties Chix books, I had to see if I'd like it. I do! It's just like today, in some ways. Anywho, I hope you'll check out Jen and Angela's books! Thanks, guys!

Mother-Daughter Book Club

Hiiiiii(:
I'm back, again. Lately, it seems, I'm blogging A LOT. Maybe, If all the amazing books weren't coming out in October/ November,  I wouldn't have so many posts, hmm? Well, It's a good thing (;
Today I'm reviewing the amazing Mother-Daughter Book Club (MDBC as us fans call it :D ) by Heather Vogel Fredrick! I'm a huge fan of these books, they're great! Currently, I'm on the fifth one, Home For The Holidays. I'm going to be blogging about all of them, though. This one is especially exciting, though, because (SPOILER ALERT!) there's a new character, Becca Chadwick! The whole story began with The Mother-Daughter Book Club.  You have four people (Five now!), Emma, Jess, Cassidy, and Megan. In each book, all the the girls read one book by an author of their mother's choice. The first book carries you through sixth grade, and as more books come along, they get older. )'':  Say you're 11, and you REALLY love the series. You're not going to read the first, and stop because in the next book they're older? Nahh, read'em all!(: Here's some about the first book:

Book club is about to get a makeover. . . .
Even if Megan would rather be at the mall, Cassidy is late for hockey practice, Emma's already read every book in existence, and Jess is missing her mother too much to care, the new book club is scheduled to meet every month.
But what begins as a mom-imposed ritual of reading Little Women soon helps four unlikely friends navigate the drama of middle school. From stolen journals, to secret crushes, to a fashion-fiasco first dance, these sixth-graders are up to their Wellie boots in drama. They can't help but wonder: What would Jo March do?

I hope you guys enjoy this series as much as I do. After a while of reading, the girls become family to you.<3

(Wow, I almost lost my post by exiting out of the tab! D: )

Thank you so much for checking my blog out!

Finding the 'write' word (:

What's something that's frustrating? When you're writing and you can't think of the word you want to use!
You're sitting there KNOWING what word you want, but....It's not coming to you. Earlier I was writing (Surprise!), and I could not think of the right word! I just found the word I was looking for--running.
Funny how a simple word like running can cause such annoyance (:

Out Of My Mind

Ooh, so many books.
I'm going to be blogging lots! [:
Today's book I'm blogging Is Out Of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper .
This book is AMAZING.
I love, love, love it.

At times in the book, I want to cry, and at times I want to..squeal.
This book is hilarious and amazing and I know If you read it you'll love it :D
From the back cover:

Eleven-year-old Melody has a photographic memory. Her head is like a video camera that is always recording. Always. And there’s no delete button. She’s the smartest kid in her whole school—but NO ONE knows it.

Most people—her teachers and doctors included—don’t think she’s capable of learning, and up until recently her school days consisted of listening to the same preschool-level alphabet lessons again and again and again. If only she could speak up, if only she could tell people what she thinks and knows. But she can’t. She can’t talk. She can’t walk. She can’t write.

Being stuck inside her head is making Melody go out of her mind—that is, until she discovers something that will allow her to speak for the first time ever. At last Melody has a voice . . . but not everyone around her is ready to hear it.

 Get ready to meet a girl whose voice you’ll never, ever forget.

I know you'll love this book.
I think your age doesn't matter when you read this book,It's great (:

13 Gifts

Holaa bloggers :D
I've just finished Wendy Mass's spectaular book 13 Gifts.
From the back cover::

It doesn't take long for Tara Brennan to realize that breaking into school to steal a goat while wielding a can of pepper spray is not a good idea. As punishment for her misdeed, Tara's parents send her to the sleepy little town of Willow Falls to stay with relatives she hardly knows, including her eleven-year-old cousin Emily, who, the last time they were together, ate an entire stick of glue. Tara quickly learns that Emily isn't even remotely the strangest person in town. There's a boy who sings in the bottom of an empty pool, two best friends who use blackboards to Communicate (Amanda and Leo from 11 BIRTHDAYS), and a green-eyed girl who may—or may not—be dating the world's hottest teen movie star (Rory from FINALLY) Due to another huge lapse in judgment, Tara finds herself beholden to perhaps the strangest person of all: Angelina D'Angelo. If Tara can't collect thirteen mysterious objects for the old woman in time for her rapidly approaching thirteenth birthday, the consequences will be REALLY BAD. Like losing-her- immortal-soul kind of bad. And that's just for starters! Tara's adventures take her and her new friends to places they'd never thought they'd find, some in the real world, and a lot deep inside themselves.
With a big dose of birthday magic, 13 Gifts will make readers laugh, think, and possibly even hum a show tune or two. Because, in Willow Falls, anything's possible, and nothing is as it seems.
